Overview
Welcome to Corporate Cocktail Creation, team building shaken, not stirred. At this concoction crazed event you’ll shake up martinis and sip down bellinis whilst becoming better acquainted with your co-workers.
The event will kick off with an introductory demonstration from a cocktail 'King' or 'Queen', teaching your team the basics of starting and maintaining a home bar. You'll then be shown how to shake, muddle and float all the cocktails which you will later enjoy. At this event, participants will learn how to make (and later drink) a range of taste bud tingling cocktails, from the classic to the funky and exotic.
On arrival, participants will be served their first cocktail, paired with some specially selected canapés. Then it’s on to the bar where you’ll watch and learn from a vermouth splashing, lime dashing cocktail emperor. You’ll then sit down with colleagues to enjoy some delicious cocktails. By the end of the evening your team will have learned how to impress with both their witty conversation and their ability to make a mean martini! Friday afternoon drinks will never be more exciting!

Event Format
The exact event format will vary depending on the size of the group, activity objectives, and time constraints. The following event format options exist:
Speed Networking
Speed networking is an efficient and fun way to allow group members to get to know each other on a one on one level. Speed Networking uses a similar technique to speed dating, enabling large numbers of people to meet each other. These events involve a series of mini-meetings, and each time the gong is sounded, participants move on their next speed meeting.
Each speed meeting may be accompanied with either a canapé, cocktail or cocktail demonstration. Exact timings are flexible, depending on group numbers and requirements.
Mix and Mingle
For larger groups, or where a mix and mingle type of event is more appropriate, the event could be structured like a cocktail party with an interactive twist. A few times throughout the event the Cocktail King or Queen could perform a public cocktail demonstration to keep the crowd entertained and give guests something to talk about. Volunteers would be called upon to assist in the making of cocktails and conduct an impromptu cocktail quiz, making sure that guests have been paying attention to what they’ve been drinking.
Wait staff could be organised to assist in the serving of cocktails and canapés.
Private Cocktail Creation party
For very small groups a smaller private function room may be arranged. Participants will all assist the cocktail guru in the preparation of cocktails. Conversation could either be facilitated by the guru or left to naturally flow.
Optional Extras
If the speed networking option is chosen, the mini-meetings may be structured around set themes/challenges or discussion of cocktails to break the ice.
At the start of each speed meeting, our host will announce the activity, theme or challenge. The topic will also be enclosed in an envelope or on an info sheet on each table. Our host will inform participants to open the envelope corresponding to the number of the date and the theme or challenges will be in the envelope.
Discussion of Cocktails:
Participants will be served a canapé or cocktail every meeting or second meeting and be given a theme or activity to guide the conversation with their "date" about the cocktail.
Cocktail "personality" cards could also be given out to aid the discussion
Example 1: If you were a cocktail, what type of dessert would you be and why?
Example 2: If Ms Cosmopolitan met Mr. Martini at a bar what would they say to each other?
Upon confirmation of this event, a full list of discussion themes/activities will be provided.
Themes:
The themes are designed to be fun and thought provoking with the intention that participants have a laugh together. In discussing the theme, participants will be required to use their imagination and share their experiences with their “date”. The themes are designed in such a way that people can either give examples from their personal or working lives, depending on their comfort level. The objective of the themes is to get to know each other or become better acquainted.
Example: Would you prefer to spill a glass of red wine right down the front of your sister’s wedding dress before the ceremony OR wet your pants in the middle of an important board meeting?
Challenges:
The challenges are designed so that participants can work together to produce the desired output. The challenges are fun and interactive, requiring participants to think on their feet and draw upon their creativity, thereby introducing participants to one another’s problem solving and project management skills. The objective of the challenges is to build rapport with the person through undertaking a fast and fun activity.
Example 1: Make your own cocktail. Tastiest entry wins a prize.
Example 2: The cocktail fairy has turned Pina Colada into a person. Draw a portrait of him/her.
Prizes can be arranged for the best responses to challenges. Our host will announce this and a nominated person at your company who is present at the activity (usually senior management) will select a winner. The winners will be announced in the awards ceremony.
Voting System:
To add some light-hearted competition to the event a voting system can be implemented with prizes awarded to the official “King” or “Queen” speed daters. As this is a corporate event, the voting system is adapted to allow everyone only 3 votes, according to three different criteria:
1. Most Shameless Date (Hint: This person is probably the most memorable and was quite happy to share and no doubt embellish their experiences to impress you!)
2. Most Intriguing Date (Hint: Who was a wolf in sheep’s clothing?)
3. Wittiest Date (Hint: This person kept you entertained and in stitches throughout the date).
There are approx 20 theme and challenge packages to choose from. A full list will be provided upon confirmation of the event. Themes and challenges can be tailored to meet your requirements.
The criteria can be adapted to suit your requirements. At the end of the speed meetings, participants complete a voting card where they indicate their 3 picks for the criteria above. The forms are handed in to the hosts and votes tallied to arrive at 3 people to crown. An interactive awards ceremony then takes place, with 3 people crowned the best speed daters of your company. We also call upon those who voted for these people to share why they voted for the person.
Menu additions
Specially selected canapés are served with the standard Cocktail Creation package. However if you require a full meal may be served if place of, or in addition to the canapés. In Sydney, a degustation menu may be implemented at additional cost to the client.
